Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Opportunities on Vancouver Island, BC
Island Health is recruiting enthusiastic child and adolescent psychiatrists for permanent positions on Vancouver Island, BC. Opportunities are available in Cowichan and Nanaimo, part-time or full-time, offering the chance to enjoy life in one of Canada’s warmest regions.
In Cowichan, the psychiatrist will join a collaborative team caring for teenagers affected by substance use and concurrent mental health issues. Responsibilities include triaging patients, supporting the clinical team, arranging consultations, and developing management plans.
In Nanaimo, the psychiatrist will join the Central Island Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program (CICAPP). Duties include telepsychiatry outreach, consultation for pediatric care at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, and support for a children’s mental health day program and early psychosis intervention.
