Since 1980 CACAP is the sole professional association of psychiatrists who work to help children, youth and their families across Canada reach their optimal potential for mental and emotional well-being.



ELIGIBILITY FOR CACAP AWARDS
CACAP members are eligible to be nominated for one of several CACAP awards or certificates of recognition.
Awards are presented each year at our annual conference.

CACAP is the collective voice for Canada’s child and adolescent psychiatrists working in the interests of its members, children and youth, with the media, other associated organizations and governments.
FULL MEMBERSHIP – $350
Please note that psychiatrists are required to register under the Full Member category. The Associate Member category is intended for professionals who are not psychiatrists.
Full Membership is available to every legally qualified medical practitioner who:
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP – $215

Associate Members are entitled to receive notice of and attend all meetings of members, but are not entitled to vote at such meetings unless the item pertains to their membership group specifically. Associate members are not eligible to sit on the Board of Directors.
Associate Membership is available to anyone who:
MEMBER-IN-TRAINING MEMBERSHIP – No cost
Members-in-Training are entitled to receive notice of, attend, and vote at all Meetings of Members and are eligible to sit on the Board of Directors in the positon of Member-in-Training representative.
